Joe Connolly
Joe Connolly is the
author and creator of "3 STEPS to parenting teens" and the �One
Minute Rule�. One of the founders of Good Parents, Inc, Joe is a
sought after speaker of family topics and is widely known for his
expertise and powerful speaking on parenting teens and young
children. He has presented to thousands of parents, children and
educators, and speaks frequently on radio and television.
Joe's engaging style, authentic, real life stories and energetic
delivery make any program or event a great experience. Through his
passion for adolescents and parenting, humorous insight, wisdom and
compassion gained from his work with parents, children and
educators, Joe helps families and professionals make positive
changes immediately and easily. Joe receives the

speaking engagements as well as his
family coaching and
academic counseling programs.
Joe authored and taught the award-winning program �3 STEPS to
parenting teens�. He presents on key issues such as �Alcohol and
other Drugs�, �Academic Stress� and �Sex�. He also leads a dynamic
and engaging student assembly titled
�Making Good Choices�. Joe's
highly effective training programs for middle and high school
teachers and administrators help educators improve parent and
student communication and involvement.
Joe has been a featured speaker at Stanford University�s �Stressed
Out Students� conference, the California Association of Marriage and
Family Therapists and Senator Jackie Speier�s �Girls Day�. Joe
speaks at corporations including Cisco, Hewlett Packard and
Genentech. He has been a guest of Dr. Mike Riera on �Family Talk
Radio� and has appeared on numerous television and national radio
programs directed at family issues.
In addition to being featured in the San Jose Mercury News for his
parenting programs, Joe was a contributor to the San Jose Mercury
News Family Section �Ground Rules�. He is also a contributing
parenting expert for Bay Area Parent Magazine�s �Teen Focus�,
GreatSchools.net parent newsletter and Red Pill Media�s monthly
newsletter.
Joe holds a degree in Communications with an emphasis in
Interpersonal Communications and a Minor in Psychology. He has been
a youth educator and coach for twenty-three years. Joe has served on
the board of many local, community and school organizations in the
Bay Area and in Massachusetts, where he was born.
In addition to his private practice Joe is also a
Dean of Students at a private school in San Jose, CA.
Joe has been married for 25 years and is the proud father of three,
a 23-year old son, a 21-year-old son who is
a college junior and an 18-year-old daughter who is a college freshman.
